- Boracay is a very laid back and relaxed island - travel light! Boracaynons rarely dress up and often live in swim wear - board shorts for guys and swimsuit and sarong or cover up for girls, all day and night long.
- Realise that there are great places to stay in every budget. Use a good local agent who knows the scene and can help you find the perfect place for you. Check out www.boracay.travel.
- Dont stay right on the beach if you value peace and quiet. Stay a little inland and have no noise at night.
- If you like to get good value for money stay off White Beach. Non Beachfront hotels are often half the price of equivalent beachfront properties.
- Wear sunscreen even on a cloudy day - the sun is strong here.
